Welcome to Build Alberta. These terms apply to everyone who uses the site, asks Rocky a question, contacts a business through a listing, or lists a business with us. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What Build Alberta is
Build Alberta is a guide. We help you find and compare home builders, new communities and home-service trades in Alberta, and we pass your requests to those businesses. We are not a builder, contractor or supplier, and we are not a party to any agreement you make with a business you find here.
Using the site
- Use the site for its intended purpose: finding, comparing and contacting Alberta home builders, communities and trades.
- Do not misuse the site: no scraping, automated bulk requests, attempts to break security, or posting content that is unlawful, misleading or abusive.
- You are responsible for the information you send through our forms and for keeping your own contact details accurate.
Quotes, calls and contact requests
When you send a quote request, book a call, or contact a business through a listing, we pass your details to that business so they can reply to you. Any quote, estimate, price, timeline or agreement that follows is strictly between you and that business. We do not guarantee that a business will respond, and we are not responsible for the quality, safety, pricing or completion of any work.
Rocky, our AI guide
Rocky answers questions using information from our listings and from the businesses themselves. Rocky is a helpful starting point, not professional advice. Always confirm details such as availability, pricing, licensing and insurance directly with the business before you hire. We do not guarantee that Rocky's answers are complete or error-free.
Business listings
- Businesses may claim and manage their listing on Build Alberta. By doing so, you confirm you are authorised to represent the business and that the information, photos and media you provide are accurate and yours to share.
- We may edit listings for style, accuracy or clarity, and we may decline or remove any listing at our discretion.
- Paid placements and upgrades are governed by the plan terms agreed at the time of purchase.
- Some listings are created from public information before a business has claimed them. If a listing is yours and you would like to update or remove it, contact us.
Accuracy of information
We work hard to keep information accurate and current, but details such as prices, availability, service areas, licences and hours can change without notice. Always confirm with the business. Information on the site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
Our content
The Build Alberta name, design, text and original images are ours or used with permission. Business names, logos and photos belong to their owners. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes; please do not copy or reuse our content without permission.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Build Alberta is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, reliance on any information on it (including Rocky's answers), or any dealings between you and a business you find here.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Alberta.
